The Girls were making sugar cookies for Santa .  Sam kept getting a big chunk of cookie dough and keeping it for herself to eat.

Today was a fun day for the girls.  Letters arrived in the mail from Santa and they played in the snow with there daddy.  Weston was being a good example and showing the girls how fun it is to ride a sled down the stairs off of our deck.  Yikes!  (we did tell the girls they cannot try this!)

December 16, 2009

Good Morning to me.  I woke up to a nice breakfast the girls had made for me.  It was a combination of cereals, cookies, and marshmallow's.  Also Sam was nicely decorated with markers.  Oh what a joy!   :)

The NutCracker-December 14, 2009

Grace's dance class had a Nutcracker performance for the parent's.  Grace's dance class is Jazz/Ballet and she really enjoys it.

Skate with Santa December 7, 2009

Delta had there annual Skate with Santa night at the Gallivan Center.  Mindy and her family came as well.  Sam would not come all but 2 feet from Santa and stuck her hand out so she could get her present from him.

Happy Halloween!  We had gone to a Halloween party with my sister and her family.  Uncle Nate's band played and the girls danced all night long!  Grace wanted to be a unicorn and wanted no part in matching with us.  Sam was the chicken, Weston was the bacon and I was the egg.  

Wild Animal Park September 17, 2009

We went to the Wild Animal park today and this place was huge!  It is a wildlife sanctuary that is home to more than 3,500 animals. Grace and Sam could have spent all day just playing and feeding with deer. 

Sea World September 16, 2009

Our 2ND day in San Diego we went to Sea World.  The park features the show Believe with Shamu and a hilarious comedic show with Sea lions and otters.  Sea world had some fun exhibits and our favorites were the Shark Encounter, Manatees,  Wild Artic and the cute penguins.  The girls said there favorite part about Sea World was Shamu and the rides.

San Diego trip September 15, 2009

Happy 10 year Anniversary!  Our anniversary started off with Weston surprising me with a Mac book pro and a card on our plane to San Diego.  In the card was a CD that was titled Decade.  I plugged it into the Mac book and it was a movie that he had made of our life together.  Talk about a real tear jerker!  Our plane landed in San Diego and we drove right to the San Diego Zoo.  The Zoo was amazing and is 100 acres in size and houses over 4,000 animals.

My mom went for a exam with the dermatologist to look at her moles and the news was not good.  I wish I had a picture of what it looked like before but it was not a regular mole that had melanoma it looked like a normal age spot. My mom had been so busy with working Mon-Fri she had not taken time out for herself to have the yearly check ups and it had been about 2 years since her last visit.  She had to have surgery at Huntsman to see if the Melanoma had spread.  As you can see they cut her about 11 inches long and about 1 inch deep.  She was not able to work for about a month since they would not allow any lifting or pushing anything.

  

The official diagnosis was Malignant Melanoma superficial spreading type.  I am sharing this today to spread the word to make sure you are having a full body check every year by your dermatologist.  Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. However, if it is recognized and treated early, it is nearly 100 percent curable. But if it is not, the cancer can advance and spread to other parts of the body, where it becomes hard to treat and can be fatal.

Bear Lake Raspberry Days July 31- August 2, 2009

Happy Berry Day's!  Our favorite time of year at Bear Lake.  We went to the Craft fair, Chuck wagon breakfast, Fireworks and I can't forget the beach!  Sam is our newest berry picker this year.  She really tried to help but I think she and her baby ate more berries than they picked!  

Toddler Fest July 10, 2009

Our Cul-de-sac has a Toddler Fest every summer and it's a lot of fun and games for the little ones.  There is different area's set up with water games, fishing, pinata, face painting, and arts and crafts.  The girls had a blast this year and my neighbor made the cutest cup cakes for the kids.

I am not so happy about Weston's new love to rock climbing.  I am sure all of you moms will agree with me.  This just freaks me out.  Why couldn't he had started a hobby that is a little safer like bowling or bingo!
